Swords:
Shortsword – Your run-of-the-mill short sword. Light, sharp, and anyone can use it.
Longsword – Requires a bit of skill and strength to wield, but it hits hard. The preferred weapon of captains and people who like to look like they’re a step above the rest.
Broadsword – This large, heavy sword is more a weapon of power than of finesse. The weight adds to the momentum of a swing, making it hit hard and cut deep.
Rapier – This thin, sharp blade is more a weapon of finesse than of power. Try to bludgeon an enemy with it and you’ll break it. Wield it masterfully and hit soft vital points, rather than bones.
Claymore – This is a sword of great destructive power. Its height and weight are intended to cleave and sever. Violent thing.
Zweihander – This heavy-bladed two-handed sword is for large battles. You’d have to be very skilled to use it in a duel, but swinging it around wildly when surrounded by enemies will get you clear.
Bastard Sword – This hand-and-a-half sword can be used either as a one-hander or a two-hander. It’s called a bastard sword because it does not neatly fall into the category of either.
Saber – A light dueling sword. The guard protects the hand and the shape of the blade allows it to quickly pick up a decent amount of momentum.
Wakizashi – The wakizashi was actually used mostly as a sidearm. A small sword to go along with a long one. All the same, it’s very sharp.
Scimitar – A light sword whose blade widens toward the tip. Aerodynamic and powerful.
Masamune – A masterfully crafted sword named for the legendary swordsmith who made it. Its blade is made of a metal alloy that turns purple when worked to perfection.
Sawblade – Don’t mess around with this jagged monster sword. ‘Serrated’ doesn’t accurately describe its saw-like blade. This thing will easily tear armor, flesh, and bone.
Heaven’s Will – This beautifully decorated sword has gold fused to the sides of the blade spelling out various blessings. It has also been consecrated to leave a lasting impression on creatures of unholy origins.
Slashing Tiger – This sword is a single piece carved from a dragon’s tooth. It is surprisingly lightweight, and its impressive durability allows the wielder to go all-out with their swings.
Excalibur – Disclaimer: Not the actual sword Excalibur. It is based on the legendary blade though. The smith that created it was trying to get as close to the real thing as she could, and really nailed it.
Twilight Scimitar – The favored weapon of the twilight cultists. They reach deep into the void to claim the power instilled in these scimitars and give them out to their high-ranking officers.
Unholy Fangs – A wickedly serrated blade graces the cursed hilt of this sword. Designed to ravage its victims, this sword takes a great deal of skill, strength, and callous cruelty to wield.
Blade of Power – This is actually two swords combined into one. The first one is the inner sword, and it’s been so saturated with strength enhancing enchantments that it would shatter on attack. Seeing this defect but wanting to keep all of that power, a brilliant mechanic rigged up the outer blade from a nearly indestructible alloy that braces the weapon for its devastating impacts.
Fire Blade – This heavy iron blade is enchanted to rapidly heat up in battle. If the fight goes on for long enough, shreds of the superheated metal might even start to break off, creating a hazard for all combatants.
Vorpal Sword – There are many mentions of a ‘vorpal sword’ to be found all across all manner of legends. In this case, the sword seems to be lucky in that sometimes what would be a glancing blow unexpectedly becomes a deadly one.
Coldsteel – A sword enchanted with ice magic. While it can be used in the typical manner, Coldsteel can also fire icy projectiles for an unexpected ranged attack.
Relic Blade – A relic from another place and time. The materials and techniques that went into creating this sword have been lost to time. It’s kept its edge for who knows how long and is conspicuously beautiful.
Abyssal Brand – This strange sword is said to have been summoned from the abyss. The otherworldly steel leaves anyone struck by it disoriented and frightened.
Stormbringer – This massive sword hits like a bolt of lightning and can fire a channeled continuous electrical discharge.
Dragonslayer – The original design was created by a villain, specifically crafted to take down their arch-nemesis’s dragon partner. It worked for them, and the blueprint has been repurposed to find any dragon’s weak point.
Frostfire Blade – The blade of this sword has been superchilled by a clan of ice wizards. The wounds it makes in a target instantly cauterize, leaving scars that burn with such cold intensity that they quickly leave the victim immobilized.
Durandal – Named after the famous sword Durandal, from the tip of the black steel blade to the hand-crafted, decorated hilt, this blade screams “master swordsman.”
Skofnung – The sword of an ancient king, Skufnung houses the spirits of the king’s twelve most loyal and powerful bodyguards. They forever keep the blade supernaturally sharp and strong.
Spears:
Wooden Spear – A crude wooden spear with a stone head. Better than nothing.
Iron Spear – A simple iron spear, cheap and easy to produce and use. Stick ‘em with the pointy end.
Half Pike – A spear with a short shaft. It trades a spear’s reach for speed and mobility.
Trident – Three prongs, triple the fun! And damage. A spear collection wouldn’t be complete without the weapon of farmers and sea kings alike.
Pike – An extra long spear with great reach. Fend off your enemies before they can get close.
Spade – A spear with a widened head featuring a sharp blade. A versatile spear, you still get the reach but can slash and stab.
Lance – A long-hilted spear with a thin, long point for increased piercing ability. You could hit someone with it, but it’s meant for stabbing.
Knight’s Lance – A long, reinforced steel lance. This one is made for horseback duels. The point isn’t as sharp as some other spears, but it makes up for that with strength and durability.
Valkyrie – A multipurpose spear with a point for thrusting, side blades for slashing, and even a weighted knob at the base of the hilt for smashing. Meant to be a one-woman army.
Bone Spear – The head and hilt of this spear are made of heavy monster bones, providing it with increased durability and strength. Also intimidates your enemies.
Winged Spear – This one is for throwing, with a large wing going along the shaft, making for better aerodynamics. The head has several sections that get wider and thinner, making it difficult and painful to remove.
Lion’s Tail – This short spear has an enchanted lion’s head ornament that enhances its intimidation factor.
Impaler – This spear has a long, straight blade that pierces extra deep, and slides out easily, inflicting a terrible bleed on the target. It also has a bladed claw next to the head that can be used for slashing and disarming.
Twisted Pike – A gorgeous long spear enchanted with wind magic. Blades flow all around the tip and shaft, and getting attacked by it feels like getting thrown about as in a twister.
Titanic Lance – The huge head of this spear has heavy blades on either side of it like a two-headed axe while still featuring a deadly sharp point for stabbing. However you choose to hit an enemy with it, they’re in for a bad time.
Mystic Spear – This throwing spear is overflowing with arcane potential. One can put enchantments of their choice on it, or just nail a distant enemy with it, creating a small magical explosion.
Twilight Spear – The demonic eye crystal embedded in this spear will inflict a curse upon whoever’s blood lands on it. The weapon itself is masterfully made, with all the tools an expert spearman needs to shed enemy blood to slake the demon’s thirst.
Ascalon – A legendary holy spear infused with light magic. It’s said that this was used to slay an evil dragon thousands of years ago.
Seeking Tip – The forked tip and widening blade of this spear can deal devastating damage. Seek out a vital point or opening in their defense and take an enemy down in one hit!
Initiate’s Lance – A spellcaster’s lance, this decorative piece is not really made for hitting and stabbing, but more for focusing one’s magical energy and casting spells.
Poison Tip – Made to emulate a snake bite, this spear has two points close together that inject a vicious venom into the victim.
Silver Fork – A trident with silver tines. It’s not the most sturdy spear, but even landing a scratch on various supernatural creatures can cause huge damage. Also very pretty in the moonlight.
Moon Voulge – Made with moonstone-infused steel, this pole arm is extra heavyweight for massive hacking blows.
Night Spike – The point on this wicked implement inflicts a weakening curse when it breaks skin. Get a few stabs in, and it won’t be long before your opponents hands are too weak and shaky to hold their weapon.
Divine Ray – This holy spear can fire a scorching beam of light. Hit a vital spot on an unholy creature and it will be instantly incinerated.
Obsidian Voulge – This pole arm is made of an adamantium and obsidian composite. Sounds pretty hardcore, right? It makes this weapon extremely strong and resilient, and is especially good against dragons.
Primordial Trident – This trident is actually made mostly from plant matter, forged into a deadly weapon using druidic magic techniques that are ancient and closely guarded secrets.
Gungnir – Modeled after the fabled weapon of the thunder deity, this gorgeous javelin is made from the finest materials and enchanted to hit the target with a deafening explosion of lightning before returning to its owner’s hand.
