Flavor Text project pt 1

Cloth Armors:

Tunic – It’s a shirt, but old timey.

Cloak – A heavy cloth garment for cold and rain.

Mantle – A dressier cloak, for special occasions.

Red Tunic – A nice red dress tunic.

Robe – A comfy overall robe. Soft and warm.

Doublet – The renaissance equivalent of a jacket, maybe a little fancier.

Apprentice Robes – Robes for a magical adept, or newbie magician.

Magician’s Cloak – A garment for a moderately skilled magician.

Silk Robe – Gentle, elegant, and comfortable, wearing this robe could lull a person to sleep.

Sacred Tunic – This intricate tunic is mostly worn by men and women of the cloth.

Imperial Mantle – A lavish cloak worn by people of station who like to show off their wealth and power.

Stealth Apparel – Comfortable, quiet, close-fitting clothing befitting a person doing things they’re not supposed to be doing.

Night Walker – Originally a custom designed garment worn by a legendary lord of the night, this is a version optimized for reproduction, usually used by people who hold similar aspirations.

Sage’s Robe – A robe worn by expert spell crafters and researchers of the arcane arts.

Shimmering Robe – A robe intended to be worn during magical combat. The protective spells woven into its fabric cause it to shimmer.

Twilight Robe – A robe worn by members of a secret sect of magic users who are attempting to tap into eldritch powers.

King’s Mantle – A mantle this expensive could only be obtained by the richest of the rich. It weighs heavily on the wearer.

Twilight Doublet – An eccentric and extravagant doublet worn by the upper crust of a secret sect of eldritch mages.

Ice Cloak – This magical cloak is imbued with ice magic. It’s always cold to the touch on the outside, but comfy and warm on the inside.

Mage Robe – This robe has basic defensive wards sewn into it to protect the wearer during magic duels.

Storm Apparel – This radical overall is imbued with offensive magic. It sends arcs of lightning out in response to attacks.

Sorcerer’s Robe – A magical robe designed for magical research. It offers powerful protection against unstable magic.

Plasmic Robe – This robe magically fuses adamantium into the fabric, giving it some very strong defensive capabilities.

Archwizard Robe – A symbol of status among the upper echelons of magical society, the Archwizard Robe looks grand and offers the best magical defenses available.

Mage Doublet – Lightweight and easy to move in, but packed with magical power, this article of clothing offers not only defense, but offense as well. It amplifies the wearer’s magical affinity beyond what one can achieve through training.

Holy Tunic – This might look like a standard dress tunic, but the blessings laid upon it are anything but.

Sunrise Robe – This design was imagined by a legendary, possibly crazy clothier. From the weave of the cloth to the craft of the spells, everything has to be immaculate. Once made, it is set out atop a hill above the tree line facing east and left there in silence for the duration of the sunrise. Supposedly, if done correctly, it will absorb some of the power of the sun.

Leather armors:

Leather Vest – A thin leather armor piece intended to be worn with layers of protection.

Hide Armor – Thick, but unfinished leather armor. Not very fashionable, but effective.

Boiled Leather – Armor made from boiled leather. Cheap and easy to make, but not the strongest defense.

Brigandine – A leather armor piece with small metal plates on the inside. A decent defense.

Leather Cuirass – A hardened leather front and back plate fastened together.

Studded Leather – Leather armor outfitted with iron studs to better deflect blows and look cool.

Poison Studs – Leather armor with pointy, poisoned studs to really give attackers an unpleasant surprise.

Strapped Leather – The cargo pants of leather armor, this set has many straps for carrying and securing your equipment on long quests.

Plated Leather – A leather chest piece with steel plates sewn in. Great defensive capabilities and still pretty easy to move in.

Bear Armor – Armor made of bear hide and leather. Exudes raw strength while keeping you warm and safe.

Nightingale – A designer plated armor piece made with high quality leather and steel. Lookin’ sharp!

Genji Armor – Designed in a Japanese fashion, the oni face is meant to intimidate those who see it. Is it working?

Layered Armor – Made from interlocking layers of leather, this bulky armor piece is great at deflecting blades, clubs, arrows and more.

Gold Stitch – Embellished with golden buckles and plates, and even woven with gold threads, this is one expensive vest. Your confidence and wealth is your defense when wearing it.

White Crow – Supposedly, this showy vest was first made with the feathers of a sacred white crow. Its spirit inhabited the armor and the wearer gained legendary agility. It’s typically reproduced with normal crow feathers, but dyed white.

Moonscale Armor – This vest is plated with an alloy made from moonstone. Its defenses are out of this world.

Pirate Armor – Don’t let the simple look fool you! Pirate armorers designed this outfit deceptively to look like your typical leather armor, but made it from strong exotic materials.

Primal Leather – No one seems to know what kind of leather this armor is made out of. Whenever we ask the supplier they just say ‘ancient beasts.’ You can’t deny its defensive capabilities, though.

Raccoon Ranger – Based on the outfit of a popular children’s cartoon character. Professionals may look a little silly in it, but it does make you feel like a superhero.

Plated Tunic – The base material of this sweet-looking vest is actually closer to a tunic. It’s comfortable, easy to move in, and reinforced with wolf leather and fur. A strong and intimidating piece of armor.

Oiled Leather – This vest is made from interlocking pieces of leather and oiled to minimize rubbing together. It makes one wearing it nearly silent and extremely agile.

Wyrm Hide – Wyrms these days are few and far between, hunted to endangerment for their top-tier leather. Hunting them is outlawed now in most places, so in order to procure one of these heirloom vests, you’ll either need to inherit one, travel far away, or visit the black market.

Shadow Lurker – This vest is enchanted to make the wearer indistinguishable if they stand in the shadows. It’s a favorite for assassins and thieves.

Dragon Skin – Unlike wyrms, there are plenty of Dragons around. Probably due to them being unstoppable killing machines. Good luck getting the material for one of these!

Ocean Leather – The leather used in crafting one of these is obtained from water-borne serpents. With a little magical tweaking, a vest made from their leather can enable one to slip through water like they’ve lived their whole life in it. Pirates love the stuff.

Black Crow – Its white equivalent is based on a legend, but the Black Crow is not the stuff of fairy tales. The feathers adorning this piece come from the mighty Black Crows of Crowcaw Mountain. These massive creatures are terrors of the sky and all but invisible at night. It’s said that holding just one of their tail feathers can make a person fly, and that’s only a slight exaggeration.

Royal Cuirass – The leather undergoes a special, extremely expensive treatment to make it as hard and the toughest steel.
